The very first day of our mission was an immediate success. With deep dedication, and combining Dutch and local expertise, we committed ourselves fully to restoring the priceless gift of sight. To launch this project, we received the approval of the local tribal chief.
Over 100 glasses fitted and donated.
Every pair of glasses we handed out became a window to a brighter future. Children can learn again, and adults can continue their work.
Comprehensive eye care provided.
In addition to fitting glasses, we also offered preventive eye care. This enabled us to deliver essential treatments and detect risks of blindness at an early stage.
This outcome is a major step forward, yet the need remains enormous. In the Volta Region, thousands of people struggle with untreated eye conditions. By bringing care directly into the community, we are making a tangible difference—completely free of charge.
