The Light for the Eye Foundation offers specialized eye care on location, aimed at residents of care institutions. We combine personal attention with modern technology, such as fundus photography, to not only correct vision but also detect eye diseases at an early stage. Our examinations are free of charge and recognized by health insurers. In this way, we relieve institutions and improve eye health in a professional manner.

Eye Care for the Visually Impaired | Low Vision

We support people with less than 30% vision that cannot be corrected medically, offering specialized care and optical aids to improve quality of life.

Optical Aids Delivered at Home

We provide aids to those unable to visit a clinic, with special focus on macular degeneration.

Eye Examinations in Care Facilities

Our certified optometrists perform specialist eye exams, including fundus photography, under ophthalmologist supervision.

Reducing Pressure on Ophthalmology

By offering accessible optical aids, we help reduce the burden on eye care services and assist patients more quickly.

International Support

In partnership with Light For The World, we support the visually impaired in developing countries and collect used glasses for reuse.

Accessible eye care

The Light for the Eye Foundation provides in-home eye care for the elderly, visually impaired, and people with disabilities who have mobility issues. We specialize in low vision (vision <30%) and use advanced diagnostic equipment and optical aids not typically offered by regular opticians.

Our specialists visit care facilities to provide free eye exams, glasses, and aids that are often (partially) covered by health insurers.

We work closely with clients, caregivers, and families, and also support eye care projects in developing countries through Stichting Light For The World. Visits to our clinics are possible by appointment.

With your contribution we give sight to eyes that would otherwise remain unseen.
